So with the Agent Vinod here comes the desi jasoos
wrapped in english suits ,jumping from heights, performing path breaking
actions, some nice latkas n jhatkas and very important & its hidden …very
secret …cannot be identified …The Story, Screenplay & Editing J No Lollz but Pain Why?
Please Read
Agent Vinod starts up very nicely and scores full marks
for its start and the end but what seems missing the connection of individual events
to reach the grand finale. The Story began with the escape of RAW Agent Vinod
from the terrorist groups in Afghanistan and the murder of its counter Part.
The only clue to find the team behind this murder is the code ‘242’. The hunt
for 242 involves searching and hunting a series of terrorists and top shots criminal
living in the society with hidden intentions. And when everyone thought that
the story ended was actually the story started but by that time it’s the EXIT
red light ask you to leave the theatres asking you ‘Tumhara Naam Kya Hai?’
Sriram Raghavan well known and appreciated for movies
like ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ and ‘Johny Gaddar’ tried to his full capacity to make one
of the sleekest, stylist and adventurous Spy Thriller and may be its his vision
and capability that actually make this watchable despite the story is full of
independent frames where connection in viewers mind seems hard to connect. For e.g.
Appearance of Maryam Zakaria – God knows if Kareena asked
her hubby to cut down her role. There was no
connect how she was there in Afghan and how come she appeared to do a sensuous
mujra in Pakistan and then flew away from the screen
Despite SPY , Agent Vinod only comes in different dresses
to disguise which even a child can recognize . You must have seen FAKE GOLD WIN
programs across major and even respected Prime channels late night where they keep you phone
on hold and when everyone knew that Aishwarya is on the screen their Fake
callers said its Bipasha, Rakhi Swant or some may refer to Madhubala and your bill went in
thousands..it was a situation like that
The Character of Kareena is completely dubious including
her death , may be director/producers has some planned for the sequels. But as
for this release even the character of Dr Iram Parveen Bilal/Dr.Tanya Ruby got removed
nothing would affect the original story.
Well I can’t say how many of you are aware of the spine chilling
class documentary ‘Wake Up Call’ but as far as the work of Sriram Raghavan I had
understood the original idea of the director was exactly same but what really
pains here that the commercialization and inferences of personal production
house had actually spoiled a world class script which got revealed in ashes only
in the end. The Story team and Editors could have made the script entertaining
and engaging even without diluting the original Idea of real faces behind the
Actual terrorism.
I would not like to discuss here about music, mujras and
performances but Nawab Sahab. The intention was good, efforts were nice; had you
thought about the Story and Director No one would have asked you –“Tumhara Naam
Kya Hai”?
Thanks & Regards
Yours AVA
