Sometimes they come close; Sometimes they fight or… Sometimes…They hugged each other in a way assuming that they will never departed; but kites itself forgets that their string lies in someone else hand” A beautiful Start with the behavior pattern of Kites but will this "Kites" find their Destination??
A dance teacher in illuminating but dark streets of Las Vegas who in thirst of money can go for any limit including Marrying immigrant girls to provide them green cards in lieu of money and yes he charges extra for Honey Night :_) The quest for money pushed him to make Gina as his Girl friend thou his love lies in money and Gina’s Brother’s Fiancée Natasha – The same Spanish girl he married for cash minus 42 dollars

J.(Hritik Roshan) blood drenched; wounded; helpless found himself a small group of Mexican farmers where he’s fighting for his survival. But how does he reached there? The story flashed back three months earlier when J. a Jazz teacher found Gina (Kangana Raunat) in love with him –The Money Machine for Him. Suddenly deep blue in the ocean he encountered with a Spanish Beauty (Barbara Mori) who is Gina Bro’s Natasha and J.’s Linda- The Girl whom she married for 1000 dollars. The attraction of both couples intensify to the limit that they decided to left the treasure islands and move towards the island of Love-True Love.
But then leaving the Forts were never so easier and they have to run for their lives right from injuring Tony(Gina’s Bro) to the Bank Robbery ;Car chases; Escaping in Air Balloons to their Final Destination- Heaven
As a Director Anurag Basu and Cinematographer Ayananka Bose has done splendid job. Anurag ‘s way of telling the story is totally different; unconventional in comparison to the present B Town Movies which may prove confusing to some of the Indian Audience specially to the Non Metros Audience. Hritik Roshan is good and Barbara Mori is better than Expected. Kangana had nothing to do and Nick Brown never got a chance to enjoy Honey Nights with Mori. The Best part after Cinematography is its Music; whether it’s Background Music Score or Songs like “Zindagi” and “Kites in the Sky” it touches your soul. So Is Kites Meets up the expectation and Hype created... With My Sorry Feelings Answer is No and the reasons lies in its pre release communication
The Major communication Pre-Release created around Kites were
-First; the Intense chemistry and Steamy scenes between Hritik and Barbara Mori which even turmoil relationships of Hritik with his wife...
The reality is this domestic Version failed to work my testosterone. And whenever they try to react in joy either a dumb picture on the wall came in the front of Mori’s eyes or entry of Tony with such a stupid weird smile forced all my testosterone hormones to react down the floor (Please don’t enjoy my condition ...lol)..Even Hritik –Aish Kiss in Dhoom2 was a worthy one.
I didn’t FEAL THE Kites’ HEAT THIS SUMMER for Sure...
-Second Intense Action Sequence: Is crashing one car by another is a stunt?? Yes it may; but the whole movie is based on just crashing Cars in the name of action and stunt .Hritik has just a 15 sec job different by jumping on the running train… :_(
I’m looking forward to the English version of the Movie which I Heard justifies the above communication in the right manner...As of Now; this venture of Roshans’ purely targeting the Global Audiences stung with few of the B Towns stale formulas; thou the Fresh Music; Beautiful Cinematography and the Anurag way of Direction (Special mention to the shadows Play and Dancing in the rain) may help to Soar this unguided “Kites” High..!! Good Luck
